One person is dead following a shooting incident in Waterville, Maine, on Monday morning.

State police said Waterville police responded to a report of a shooting outside a residence at 18 South Grove St. around 8:10 a.m. on Monday.

One person was killed. A second person was shot at but was not injured.

The person who was killed was identified Tuesday as 22-year-old Justin Iraola, of Winslow. His cause of death was multiple gunshot wounds. The manner of his death has not been released.

State police said their Major Crimes Unit is assisting Waterville police with the investigation. They said there is no danger to the public.
