A 9-year-old boy was hit by a vehicle Saturday while riding a scooter in Laconia, New Hampshire, police confirmed.
Police say the boy suffered minor leg and foot injuries. He was struck by a vehicle on Baldwin Street around 2 p.m. after riding down a steep decline on Lovell Street.
He was transported to Lakes Region General Hospital.
According to police, the boy was not wearing a helmet.
The driver stayed on the scene until police arrived.
