(NECN) - The Boston Redevelopment Authority has formally yanked the permits for the Filene's Basement project in Downtown Crossing.
In a letter sent to the developer, Vornado Realty Trust, Boston officials say the stalled project has cost the city $20 million in lost tax revenue.
Vornado has said it's not financially viable to complete the project in this market. It's been trying to sell the project to another developer.
