Jackie Bruno joined NECN in December of 2011 and anchors the weekend evening newscasts while reporting during the weekdays. Jackie is not new to NECN, as she started her broadcast career as an intern with the network in 2005.
Before her return to NECN, Jackie spent three years at WWLP-22News in Springfield, Mass. where she was the weekend evening anchor and Hampshire County Bureau reporter. Jackie was no stranger to the television before her broadcast journalism career blossomed. She was named Miss Massachusetts USA in 2008 and placed in the top ten at the nationally televised Miss USA Pageant that year. She also was a coach on MTV’s MADE and was host on NewEngland.com’s “New England TV” where she explored and reported on the sites of New England .
