(NECN) - President Barack Obama is expected to give a statement on the war in Afghanistan later this morning. His own government's review says expanding the war has weakened al-Qaida and Taliban militants. And Obama is expected to say that America will stay the course in Afghanistan, remaining at war through 2014.
