Man Wanted in Connection to Chicken Restaurant Shooting in Custody

A man was shot following a disturbance inside the USA Chicken and Biscuit Restaurant in Manchester, New Hampshire on Saturday, May 24.

The 42-year-old victim was treated at Elliot Hospital for a serious gunshot wound to the shoulder and torso. He is expected to survive.

Police say it appears he was shot subsequent to a large fight that started inside the establishment after a woman was pushed to the floor.

The shooter has been identified as Kyree Rice, 22, of Manchester.

Police have obtained arrest warrants for Rice charging him with first degree assault, reckless conduct and carrying a concealed weapon without a permit.

Rice surrendered himself on those warrants without incident on Friday, May 30.
