(NECN) - It's Money Monday and today we're talking about what to look out for as you go holiday shopping.
Joining us now is Louise Sacco of Frugal Yankee.
Sacco says spending is projected to be up about 2 percent this year. Overall people want jewelry, gift cards and electronics.
At the malls, shoppers can expect to see more "pop-up" stores. Consumers should be careful of shopping at such stores, Sacco warns, as they may not be there if they need to make a return.
When you make a purchase, Sacco suggests finding out what the return policy is. The law does not require stores to accept returns. Those who are chronic returners could be banned.
