Report: At Least 20 Killed in Bombings in Iran

TEHRAN, Iran (AP) - An Iranian official says at least 20 people
have been killed in twin bombings outside a mosque in southeastern
Iran.

Iran's IRNA state news agency quotes the head of the medical
emergency department in Sistan-Baluchistan province, Fariborz
Rashedi, as saying at least 20 people were killed when the blasts
struck in a crowd of Shiite worshippers outside the main mosque in
the provincial capital of Zahedan.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the bombings.

But the Sistan-Baluchistan province is home to the Jundallah
insurgency, a Sunni group that has claimed responsibility for
bombings that have killed scores in recent years, including five
senior commanders of Iran's powerful Revolutionary Guard last year.
