Maine Prison Inmate Dies at Hospital

Officials say a Maine prison inmate has died at Mayo Regional Hospital in Dover-Foxcroft.

The Maine Department of Corrections says 66-year-old Ronald J. Brann was serving a 3½-year prison sentence for unlawful sexual contact at the Mountain View facility on Charleston.

Officials say he died at 4 a.m. Tuesday. No further details were released.

Maine State Police and the state medical examiner's office were notified, consistent with department policy and protocols established by the attorney general's office.
