Police say a man under the influence of bath salts assaulted four people and claimed he had killed his mother.
Maine State Police on Monday arrested Christopher Wells of Orland on drug and assault charges.
Troopers say Wells entered a neighbor's home on Gross Point Rd. None of the people at the residence were seriously injured.

Searching Wells' nearby home, troopers found 294 hypodermic needles, drug paraphernalia, bath salts, cocaine and marijuana.
Wells is charged with four counts of assault, two counts of unlawful possession of scheduled W drugs, possession of hypodermic apparatus, possession of a usable amount of marijuana and sale and use of drug paraphernalia.
Authorities later found the 38-year-old man's mother unharmed.
