This marks the latest rally in the ongoing supermarket saga. Workers are demanding the reinstatement of beloved former CEO Arthur T. Demoulas. Since the protests have begun, store shelves have been left empty and customers upset.
Monday marks two important events in the feud timeline. Co-CEOs Felicia Thornton and Jim Gooch said workers off the job must return by Aug. 4. The date is also when Market Basket says it will conduct a job fair in search of new associates.
