Police in Andover, Massachusetts, confirm one person has died after a three-car accident on I-93 south Friday morning

Police in Andover, Massachusetts, confirm one person has died after a three-car accident on I-93 south Friday morning.

The incident happened near Exit 41 around 1 a.m. Police say a 23-year-old man was traveling south in a 2004 Chevrolet Impala when he rear-ended a vehicle operated by Connor Weed, 26, of Malden.

Following this, the Impala was disabled in the right lane and was subsequently struck by a vehicle operated by Justin Long, 24, of Brookline.

The driver of the Impala was pronoucned dead at the scene. Police have not released the identity of the victim. His identity is being withheld pending notification of family.

Neither Long nor Weed were injured in the crash.

The incident remains under investigation.
