Police in Newburyport, Massachusetts, say a motorcycle driver was transported to a hospital after crashing into a police cruiser Thursday morning.
The incident happened at 10:15 a.m. on Route 1 in the area of and Pond and Low streets.
Police say the motorcyclist, 25, struck the side of the marked cruiser while the officer was responding to a medical emergency.
The motorcyclist was transported to Anna Jacques Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The officer was not seriously injured.
The crash remains under investigation.
