Police were involved in a violent struggle before they arrested a suspect in Boston's Roxbury neighborhood.
Officers were performing surveillance when they received several reports for shots fired. The suspect, later identified as 21-year-old Jordan Evans of Roxbury, would not take his hand out of his pocket and officers identified that he was holding a firearm. A violent struggle ensued, but the suspect was ultimately taken into custody.
The .25 caliber semi-automatic handgun was recovered as evidence. Evans is set to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court.
