The arraignment of a Salem, Massachusetts, man charged with fatally shooting a former Army sniper after an altercation at a Boston nightclub nearly three years ago has been postponed.
Peter Castillo, of Salem, was scheduled to appear in Suffolk Superior Court on Tuesday in the death of Stephen Perez Jr., but prosecutors say that has been delayed until later this week because of a conflict in his attorney's schedule.
The 22-year-old Perez, of revere, served in Iraq and Afghanistan. He was shot on April 28, 2012, in a parking garage.
Castillo was added to the U.S. Marshals Service's most wanted list in October. He was arrested Jan. 15 in Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic and brought to the U.S. two days later. He's been held in New York City since then.
