A Boston Police officer is getting a huge thank you for pulling over in West Roxbury to help an elderly woman shoveling snow Thursday.
The department says John Quinn saw a woman struggling to move a large chuck of snow and ice from the front of her home.
He pulled over and helped her out.
He says the woman reminded him of his mom.
