The Chief of Chelsea Police say that the department's phone lines are down, so they cannot make or receive calls.
The Massachusetts city's phone carrier, DSCI, is having a major outage, so the business lines at the police station have been down since 11:30 a.m. on Monday.
Right now the phone company has no estimate on when the issue will be fixed.
However, the Chelsea Police Department says that 911 lines are working properly in case of emergency calls.
