The Chief of Chelsea Police say that the department's phone lines are down, so they cannot make or receive calls.
The Massachusetts city's phone carrier, DSCI, is having a major outage, so the business lines at the police station have been down since 11:30 a.m. on Monday.
Right now the phone company has no estimate on when the issue will be fixed.
