A man who attempted to break into a Holbrook, Massachusetts, home Tuesday night was startled by the homeowner and jumped into a nearby lake to flee, according to police.
The incident happened around 10 p.m. at a home on East Shore Road.
The homeowner called police, who pursued the suspect until he jumped into Holbrook Lake.
The fire department brought in a boat and dive team to look for the suspect, but could not find him.
It is not known if the suspect got out of the water.
