Former Employee Disguised With Painted-On Mustache, Eyebrows Attempts to Rob Store

A Massachusetts woman, disguised with a painted-on mustache and eyebrows, failed in an attempted store robbery.

Dawn Phillips-Ellison, 44, of Haverhill, who was carrying a knife, tried to rob the Red Hen Market on Monday, according to the Eagle-Tribune.

The paper reports Phillips-Ellison was recognized by a store employee because she worked at the store in the past.

Phillips-Ellison is charged with armed assault to rob, and was arraigned and ordered to be held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing on Thursday.
