A livery driver from Quincy, Massachusetts, has been sentenced to up to eight years in prison for raping a woman who got into his vehicle in Boston thinking it was a taxi.
Said Said was sentenced Monday following his conviction last month on charges including aggravated kidnapping, aggravated rape and larceny.
The Patriot Ledger reports that prosecutors had sought a 10- to 15-year sentence.
Police said the woman flagged down Said's vehicle in Boston's Seaport District in June 2014.
The woman told police the driver took her to a secluded area, sexually assaulted her, and stole her cellphone and credit cards.
Police identified Said, who also goes by Hashi Said, because surveillance cameras at a gas station and a pharmacy showed him using the woman's credit and debit cards.
