Man Arrested After Police Found Fireworks in Vehicle

Police found 12 cases of fireworks and $7,510 in cash

A man was pulled over on Route 93 early Sunday morning in Wilmington, Massachusetts.

Ryan Teja, 36, of Allston, was arrested after police found 12 cases of fireworks and $7,510 in the Town and Country minivan Teja was driving.

He has been charged with unlawful possession of fireworks and unlawful selling of fireworks, among other charges.

It is illegal for private citizens to use, possess, or sell fireworks in Massachusetts. It is also illegal for citizens to legally purchase them elsewhere and transport them into the state.
