Dad to Serve 12-16 Years in Infant Son's Shaking Death

Christopher Berry's attorney claimed that he suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder after serving in Afghanistan

A Massachusetts man charged with the shaking death of his infant son will serve 12 to 16 years in state prison after pleading guilty to manslaughter on Monday.

Christopher Berry, 24, of Lowell was charged with killing his 9-week-old son, William Berry in May of 2013. He pleaded guilty on Monday in Middlesex Superior Court.

His attorney had claimed that Berry suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder after serving in the National Guard in Afghanistan.
