Market Basket, Wegmans Ranked Among Top Grocery Chains: Consumer Reports

The popular grocers each received the top score for customer satisfaction in a survey carried out by Consumer Reports.

Market Basket and Wegmans are among the highest-rated grocery chains in the nation when it comes to customer satisfaction, according to a survey. 

The chains were among six regional and national grocers to earn the top overall satisfaction score in the survey carried out by Consumer Reports. The findings were based on a survey of more than 75,000 Consumer Reports subscribers. 

The other grocers that received the highest score for customer satisfaction were Trader Joes; Texas-based Central Market; Heinen’s, which has stores in Ohio and Illinois; and California-based Gelson’s Markets.

Market Basket and Trader Joe’s each received the highest score when it came to competitive pricing.

Wegmans, meanwhile, excelled in quality and variety of produce, as well as selection of healthy options, selection of locally produced products, and variety of international products or multicultural foods, according to the survey. 

The survey asked members about 96 national and regional chains in the United States.
