A Quincy, Massachusetts, mother of five wanted on parental kidnapping and child endangerment charges has returned home and is being charged, according to police.
Authorities had been looking for Yurong Wu and her five children. The Department of Children and Families were originally alerted to the case after concerns were raised over one of the children.
When they didn't show up for a March 4 hearing, the state prepared to take custody, which is when police say she fled to New York City with her kids.
They believe she stayed with family and returned to Massachusetts after pressure from a media campaign. A neighbor who did not want to be identified saw them return to their home and alerted police.
Wu will be charged with what was on an outstanding warrant.
Officials say all of the children are safe and show no signs of abuse.
Wu's husband, Jackie Mei, is accused of obstructing the investigation. He was arrested and released on bail last week.
