Police: 2 Brothers Killed in Shooting

The shootings are Brockton's first two homicides of 2015

Police say two brothers were fatally shot inside a car in Brockton, Massachusetts.

Authorities say officers responded to a report of shots fired at the intersection of Glenwood and Highland streets at about 2:40 a.m. Friday. When officers arrived, the Plymouth County District Attorney's Office said they found a black Infinti sedan in a snowbank.

The victims, who were pronounced deceased at the hospital, have been identified as 28-year-old Steven Afonso and 26-year-old David Afonso. The Plymouth D.A. says both appeared to have been shot multiple times.

There was no word on arrests.

Police found eight shell casings in the area.

The shootings were the city's first two homicides of 2015, after 14 last year.
