A man has been charged with OUI in a crash causing serious injury after police say he struck three children with his van while driving drunk in Springfield, Massachusetts.
Police say 58-year-old Pedro Gonzalez, who has been charged with OUI once in the past, hit a 13-year-old girl, a 13-year-old boy and an 11-year-old boy in a crosswalk at the corner of Chestnut Street and Montmorenci Street.
All three children remain at a local hospital. The youngest victim is in critical condition.
Gonzalez was arraigned Monday.
Police said they were working to get a search warrant for Gonzalez's van on Tuesday.
