Three Boston high school students were hospitalized Wednesday after eating brownies that were potentially tainted, officials said Wednesday.
Officials told necn that students from John D. O'Bryant School in Roxbury -- two females and one male -- became so sick after eating the items they vommited and became lightheaded. One student even passed out.
District spokesperson Richard Weir said officials weren't sure where students ate the brownies or where they were distributed. However, it did not happen in any classroom or as part of a holiday party, he said. Parents were notified about the incident via a robocall.
Boston Police responded to the school at 2 p.m. and continue to investigate whether the brownies were laced.
