A Massachusetts woman is facing charges after allegedly leaving an infant inside a car while she ran inside a convenience store.
New Bedford police say their investigation was prompted by a Facebook video post that showed 20-year-old Breanna McGrath of Acushnet getting out of her parked car at a gas station on Tarklin Hill Road and Belleville Avenue on Thursday afternoon.
The video showed the infant was left behind in an unlocked car with its engine running.
McGrath has been charged with reckless endangerment of a child.
The state's child welfare agency has also been notified and is investigating.
It's unclear what the relationship is between McGrath and the child.
