Widow Donates $21K to Return Rings to Another Widow

The two women are scheduled to meet before Christmas

Earlier this month, The Salvation Army received the donation of two wedding rings from a widow who donated the rings in honor of her late husband.

The anonymous widow asked in a note that the diamond engagement ring and gold wedding band be used to provide toys to children.

A second woman, a former bellringer and a widow herself, anonymously donated $21,000, more than ten times the value of the rings, so that she can return the two rings to the original donor.

The two women are scheduled to meet before Christmas.
