The Mohawk and Hawlemont districts, both in Franklin County, announced that their schools would not open Thursday.

According to school officials, the anonymous letter mentioned a potential threat against Mohawk before the end of the year.

Classes at Hawlemont were cancelled as a precaution.

Two people named in the letter are being questioned by police.
