The Animal Rescue League of Boston and the Dedham, Massachusetts, Police Department's Animal Control Division is seeking the help of the public to get information about a young dog that was abandoned in the cold on Monday in Dedham.
The Animal Control received a call about a dog before noon on Monday. Officer Jayson Tracy discovered a dog suffering from extreme starvation and contacted the Animal Rescue League for assistance.
The brindle pit-bull-type dog, now being called Stitch, has no collar and is about 2 years of age. He is receiving medical care at the Animal Rescue League's Boston Shelter.
