Police in Somerset, Massachusetts, are investigating a crash that killed a teen.
Around 11:26 p.m. Sunday, police responded to the report of a car striking a telephone pole at 254 Lafayette Street. Upon arrival, police found two utility poles snapped in half and discovered that the vehicle had struck a car in a driveway before coming to a rest.
The victim, identified as 19-year-old Timothy Swass of Rehoboth, had to be extricated from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Preliminary investigation shows speed appears to be a factor. The investigation is on-going.
