A rollover crash involving a tractor trailer carrying fuel is expected to cause major delays on I-90 westbound in Massachusetts.
State Police say the crash, which happened near Auburn on Monday afternoon during rainy weather, resulted in one of the 3,500-gallon tanks to start leaking. Authorities say more than 3,000 gallons of fuel was spilt, but the leak has been contained.
According to Auburn Fire, first responders arrived aft the scene around 3:24 p.m. Monday, where they found a tractor trailer rolled over after an accident involving another driver. Fire officials say the tractor trailer driver wasn't hurt and the driver of the other car was taken to UMass Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
One lane on the Massachusetts Turnpike is closed as crews work at the scene, and authorities say it will take an undetermined amount of time to clean up.
As of 8:15 p.m., there was a three mile backup. Click here for an interactive traffic map.
