A woman was shot to death Saturday in Lawrence, Massachusetts, officials confirmed to necn.
Mirta Rivera, 41, was found shot in the abdomen in her Exchange Street apartment just before 4:30 a.m. She was taken to Lawrence General Hospital and pronounced dead.
No arrests have yet been made, but the Essex County District Attorney's Office told the Boston Globe the public was not in any danger.
Three people who live above the victim were arrested on unrelated charges. Officials say their identities are in question.
