New Hampshire law enforcement officials are investigating a death in Manchester that was announced hours after one person was shot and a second person was stabbed.

Officers responded around 1:55 a.m. Sunday to a report of a shooting near the intersection of Beech and Lowell streets in Manchester. As police arrived at the scene, 22-year-old Siidi Dhurow, of Manchester, was taken to the Elliot Hospital where he died, according to Attorney General Gordon MacDonald and Manchester Police Chief Carlo Capano.

An autopsy was conducted Sunday, and Deputy Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Mitchell Weinberg determined Dhurow’s cause of death to be a stab wound to the chest. His manner of death has been ruled a homicide.

Investigators determined there was also a report of a shooting in the same general area earlier in the night. Dhurow's stabbing death and the shooting incident do not appear to be related at this time, officials say.

Early Sunday morning, a second person was treated at the Elliot Hospital for a non-life threatening wound to his neck. The man's injury occurred in the same general area of Beech and Lowell streets in Manchester, where Dhurow was found stabbed.

Investigators have not yet determined if this incident is related to Dhurow's stabbing death, or if the second man's injury was the result of a criminal act.

The Manchester Police Department is investigating all three events. If anyone has information about these incidents, they are encouraged to contact Manchester police at 603-668-8711, or the department’s Crime Line at 603-624-4040.
