A woman is recovering after being rescued from Mount Washington in New Hampshire.
New Hampshire Fish and Game offiicals say weather conditions in and around the summit were extreme during the rescue, with hurricane-force winds blowing and temperatures in the low 30s and dropping.
Kathleen Maguire had injured her ankle on Tuesday and could no longer hike the trail, and a medical helicopter could not reach her due to bad weather, so crews drove to the top of the mountain to get her.
She was expected to be treated a New Hampshire hospital.
