HOLYOKE, Mass. (AP) — Police say a medical emergency was apparently the cause of a crash in Holyoke that took the life of an elderly man.
The single-vehicle crash on Route 141 at about 7:45 p.m. Monday took the life of a man in his 80s. His name was not immediately made public pending notification of family
Police say he was alone in his car and no other vehicles were involved.
Police say the victim suffered a medical episode, lost control, and struck a guard rail.
He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
