Police are investigating a report of an assault and kidnapping in Wenham, Massachusetts.
A woman was assaulted with a weapon on Topsfield Road late Friday night, according to authorities. The woman's daughter was forcibly taken from the home.
The suspect has been identified as 23-year-old Justin Raymond of Salem, Massachusetts.
Raymond released the girl before fleeing by foot. Officials were able to locate Raymond in a storage area under a home on Burnham Road.
Raymond faces threats to commit a crime and armed assault.
More charges may follow.
