‘Active Incident' at South Burlington Hotel Resolved

South Burlington police were successful in quelling an "active incident" at a Doubletree hotel on Williston Road early Wednesday morning, reports MyNBC5 News.

Police confirmed that everyone at the hotel was safe, but said that the incident required a "strong safety presence." Officials said that the part of the hotel that had been affected had been evacuated.

Information regarding the cause of the incident has not yet been released, though police cruisers from multiple departments were observed outside the hotel.

The incident was first reported to the public around 5:45 a.m. Authorities reported the issue resolved by 9:15 a.m.

Police said they are talking with a "person of interest." It's unclear if any arrests have been made.

The investigation is ongoing.
