A Massachusetts man was killed Thursday night in a snowmobile crash in Lemington, Vermont.
Police said a snowmobile operated by Bruce Bohonowicz, 53, of Greenfield, Massachusetts, crashed on VAST Trail 96 by the intersection of Todd Hill Road at about 7 p.m.
Authorities told WPTZ-TV, the snowmobile went off the trail at a sharp curve and Bohonowicz was thrown from the snowmobile and collided with a nearby tree.
Bohonowicz was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said the exact cause of the crash remains under investigation. They said it's unclear if alcohol or speed were factors.
