Donald Trump will be getting a hefty bill from a New England mayor.
According to necn affiliate WPTZ, Mayor Miro Weinberger of Burlington, Vermont, will be billing the Republican front-runner's campaign for overcrowding his rally on Thursday, requiring extra police detail.
With thousands and thousands of ticket holders unable to sit at the Flynn - Trump tweeted beforehand that seating would be first-come, first-serve - the city needed to staff extra police officers for crowd control.
"That was not the actions of a campaign that cares about the community they're coming into, not attempting to persuade people might be on the fence," Weinberger said, according to WPTZ. "They kind of came in did a very insufficient job of communicating with anybody and really had a larger impact on public safety officers, expenses, neighboring businesses than they needed to."
