A man who allegedly threatened to hurt himself and others was shot at by police officers in Vermont on Sunday.
Around 3:18 a.m., Colchester, Burlington, and Winooski police responded to Hawthorne Lane for the report of a man threatening self-harm. On arrival, officers saw man inside his residence with what appeared to be a rifle. He allegedly made several threats to harm himself and others.
During the incident, Burlington officers fired at the suspect. He was transported to University of Vermont Medical Center where he is listed in stable condition.
