His announcement was made days after TLC canceled his family's show "19 Kids and Counting."

Baby Meredith joins big sister Mackynzie, 5, and big brothers Michael, 4, and Marcus, 2.

While their names all star with an M, Josh's 18 siblings' names begin with a J.

TLC's cancellation of 19 Kids and Counting followed revelations that Josh had molested four of his sisters, including Jill Duggar, 24, and Jessa Duggar, 22, when he was a teenager as well as a fifth girl who is not a member of the Duggar family.

He was never charged with a crime and had apologized amid the scandal. Jill and Jessa defended Josh in an interview with Fox News Channel's Megyn Kelly in early June.
