Bus Rolls Over on Vermont Highway, Dozens Hurt

UPDATE: 5:15 p.m. - A UMass-Amherst spokesman confirms that the school has been informed of the crash, and that there were UMass students on board the bus - but says it is not believed to be the ski trip bus involved in the crash.

UPDATE: 5:00 p.m. - The Brattleboro Reformer, citing reports from dispatchers, has updated its total to 37 injuries in the crash, including six critical injuries. The paper reports that the bus may have been part of a caravan from UMass-Amherst to Quebec City for a ski trip.

Ambulances are being called in from numerous communities.

I-91 South is reported closed.

NECN has crews on the way to the scene.

(NECN: Putney, VT) - The southbound side of I-91 is shut down in Putney, Vermont after a bus rollover.

Vermont State Police say approximately 30 people are injured, three are in critical condition.

Police would not confirm the ages of those involved.
