Two arrests has been made in connection with a beachfront stabbing in Barnstable last weekend.

Two days of surveillance led police to arrest Damion Fray, a Centerville resident, on Tuesday. The 31-year-old is facing charges for assault and battery by dangerous weapon, armed assaulted with intent to murder and assault and battery causing serious bodily injury.

Barnstable Police responded to a call at Keyes Beach on Aug. 12 around 5:20 p.m., where they discovered a large party with roughly 150-200 people in attendance to go along with a makeshift bar and DJ booth. Police were notified of an altercation between individuals who had since left the beach, and soon learned a 22-year-old Brewster man had arrived at Cape Cod Hospital with three stab wounds to his back and shoulder.

Police executed a search warrant of Fray's residence on Wednesday, a day after his arrest, where they located a handgun with a supply of ammunition. Neil Woolery, 46, who also lived at the address, was placed under arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a firearm and unlawful possession of ammunition.

Fray is due to appear in court on Monday for a dangerousness hearing. Woolery appeared in Barnstable District Court on Wednesday and was held on $1,000 bail.

The victim, whose name has not been released, has been released from Cape Cod Hospital.
