One person is dead, two are in critical condition and four others are wounded after a shooting in Lynn, Massachusetts, early Saturday morning, prosecutors say.
Lynn police said they responded to multiple 911 calls reporting a shooting at a social gathering on Essex Street and found seven people had been shot around 2:20 a.m.
Essex District Attorney Paul Tucker said authorities had confirmed the shots came from a vehicle, and detectives were on scene investigating near a black SUV with shattered windows.
No arrests have been made. Investigators say the shooting was targeted and that there's concern for retaliation.

“We are committed to holding those accountable responsible for this senseless act of violence," Lynn Police Chief Christopher Reddy said at a news conference Saturday morning. "No family should have to suffer the loss of a loved one under circumstances like this.”
"Gun violence like this needs to stop," he added."
Authorities didn't identify the victim on Saturday, but Brian Diaz told NBC10 Boston that the victim was his 25-year-old brother Abraham Diaz.

“I just can’t believe this happened. I’m still trying to process it,” Brian Diaz said. "He was my little brother. He was just like me. Giving back to kids and looking out for kids and about his community and just wanted to make sure everyone was alright.”
According to Brian Diaz, the shooting took place at a party to celebrate a friend graduating and going off to college.
"There’s multiple people that we know personally that we hang out with and laugh with that are right now in the hospital fighting for their lives,” another man at the scene said Saturday.
Lynn Mayor Jared Nicholson shared condolences for the victims and their families, as well as outrage.
"This is absolutely outrageous, to have this level of violence happen in our streets and in our neighborhood," he said.
The district attorney said he believes the community will be safer when those who are responsible for this shooting are in custody. The investigation is active and ongoing.
