NH Woman's Murder Shocks Neighbors; Daughter Arrested in Fla.

A New Hampshire woman faced a judge in Florida Monday on a fugitive from justice charge after police in New Hampshire say she shot and killed her mother in Goffstown.

People who live on Rachel Circle were shocked to hear that their neighbor was murdered inside her home, but they weren't surprised to learn that the woman's daughter is accused of the crime.

"I just had a feeling," said neighbor David Kimball. "I don't know why, it only made sense."

"Because she was strange," added neighbor Claire St. Onge. "She was funny."

Jennifer Clow, 49, is facing a second-degree murder charge in New Hampshire.

A SWAT team arrested her Sunday evening as she left a hotel in Naples.

"We believe the suspect lived with her mother in Goffstown at the time of the murder," said Associate New Hamphire Attorney General Jeffery Strelzin.

When St. Onge other neighbors couldn't reach their friend, Sally Miller, they knew something was wrong and called police.

"We knocked on the door, we yelled in the windows, and there was nothing," St. Onge said.

On Friday afternoon, Goffstown officers entered the home at 66 Rachel Circle and found the 72-year-old woman dead of a gunshot wound.

"She was a very nice person," St. Onge said.

"It's sad. Really sad," said another neighbor, Sandy McEvoy. "We are just all shocked."

The suspect will eventually be extradited to face that murder charge in New Hampshire.

Other than a few rumors swirling in the tight-knit neighborhood, there has been no official word yet on any kind of motive in this case.
