Underwater Noise Could Be New Jet Lead: Scientists

A mysterious, indistinct rumbling noise captured on a five-second audio clip could be a new lead in the hunt for the missing Malaysian Airlines Flight MH370, scientist in Australia said Wednesday. Ocean floor monitoring devices made the recording on the day the Boeing 777 went missing. Researchers believed the audio is consistent with the low-frequency sounds that might be generated by a large passenger jet crashing into the ocean at high speed.
