Police Activity in Norton Ends, Ending Shelter-in-Place

A neighborhood in Norton was blocked off for hours amid a police investigation on Thursday.

Norton police asked residents on Norton Glen Road to stay inside their home amid the police activity. Police say that they were searching for a suspect who was believed to be armed and inside one of the homes. Following a search, the suspect was not found to be inside the home.

Police activity in the area, which started Thursday morning, had cleared by 4 p.m.

A Norton Glen apartment resident told NBC10 Boston he was outside around 10 a.m. when he saw officers running around with guns outside of his unit, telling him to leave.
