Police are investigating an overnight shooting in Lowell, Massachusetts, that left two people injured.
Lowell police said they were investigating an incident that resulted in two adults suffering gunshot wounds. Both were expected to survive.
A person who lives in the building on 12th Street, Rosa Belliard, said her cousin and that cousin's son were the ones who were shot — details that investigators were yet to confirm.
“I heard like three shots, two or three shots, and at that moment the police were coming,” said Belliard, who lives on the bottom floor of the two-story home. “Every happened too fast.”

Belliard said she woke up to the sound of gunfire on the floor above just before 10 p.m. on Thursday.
“When I got up, I tried to find out what happened,” she said. “I did not hear nothing. I only heard the shots, and at the moment the police were coming like a hundred police cars.”
She said her relatives were shot and taken to the hospital after a domestic dispute, though that remained unconfirmed.
The incident began with reports of gunfire after police responded to a call for service shortly before 10 p.m. Thursday, police said.
The Middlesex District Attorney's Office did not immediately respond to a request for details. Police said it was an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public.
The home was cordoned off with police tape as investigators placed several evidence markers on the front porch and on the street, prompting neighbors to wonder what happened.
“There were at least 20-something cars, all the streets were blocked. I had to park like a quarter mile from my house because there was no way around, there were detectives, and everyone was here,” said Paul Taylor, who lives nearby.
"It's kind of catching me off guard," said Clay Pennington, another neighbor. "I looked out my window last night around 10 or 11, saw lights, had no idea what was going on. I'm just trying to get to work and find out that somebody on the block is shot. Obviously, my heart goes out to them. I hope that they're OK."
